Not necessarily as a first purchase if it's unclear if you like the base game. This game is not for everyone so a little caveat here... However if you put some hours into the game then the plane selection you get from this DLC is worth it. Note: Triwing Vintage is the most special plane in the game. Mastering it - especially for MP games is a bit of a challenge itself. Sparrow and Vanguard are good additions and give you more choice for certain levels.. Excellent game, fun, fast, MP........not enough people play this game. I bought this expansion with the game on a sale a while back and all I can say is that it makes the game a little easier. I personally prefer other planes but I know most of the better players like the tri wing. it was definitely woth the pitttance I paid for it (less than half a dollar) but at full price the answer will hinge on how much you like the game in the first place, as it doesn't add any traks or modes of any kind..
